Valentine C. Wilson (my first cousin three times removed on my mother's side), b. 1834 in Somerford, Madison County, Ohio; d. Aug. 23, 1861, in Madison County, Ohio. The son of Valentine Wilson, a prominent landowner in Ohio who had 19 children by three different wives. Valentine C. Wilson graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio with the class of 1860, making him the first classical graduate in his father’s family. However, he died on August 23, 1861, of epidemic dysentery.

Eliza Jane Hall (my first cousin three times removed on my mother's side), b. 1874 in Rowan County, Ky.; d. Jan. 12, 1900, in Rowan County, Ky. Died nine days before her 26th birthday. I've not been able to find the cause of death.

John Fleming Parker (step-father of my maternal great-grandmother Nora Kendall Williams), b. 1874; d. Feb. 16, 1933. Nora Kendall was raised mostly by her maternal grandparents, Isaac and Rhoda Lewis, after her father died when she was 3 and her mother died when she was 8. Her mother remarried John Fleming Parker after the death of David Kendall, and they had one son, Allie Howard Parker, Nora's half brother. The siblings became quite close.
